Why Triton Is Considered a “Traditional Force” in Greek Water Polo

The term “traditional force” is supported by objective indicators such as longevity, consistency, breadth of achievements, and a strong development pathway. Based on these:

A current competitive presence in the 2nd National Division and continuous operation of youth structures, with ongoing signs of development (e.g., academy activity, athlete selections for training squads).

A double-digit total of titles (12) in the official Hellenic Aquatics Federation’s historical record—an achievement shared by a limited number of clubs nationwide.

Success across three pillars of the sport: Men’s, Women’s, and Age-Group competitions (not only in one league or one period).

A strong developmental footprint, with 4 national titles in age categories (Korasides / Women’s U20).

Continuity over time, with a trajectory starting in 1994 and an active presence highlighted through 30-year anniversary references.

A New Chapter: Triton Masters (launched February 2025)

In February 2025, Triton opened an exciting new chapter by launching the Triton Masters section. Masters water polo is a special world: it brings together lifelong athletes, passion-driven competitors, and an international community that plays hard and celebrates the sport with respect.

For us, Masters is not a side project—it’s a commitment. We want to support and grow Masters water polo in Greece and beyond, and help build a stronger, more connected Masters scene in Europe.

Our Vision: Making Triton Masters Cup a Landmark Event

With the Triton Water Polo Masters Cup, our goal is clear: to create an international tournament that becomes a true milestone on the Masters calendar—an event teams plan for, travel for, and proudly return to year after year.

We’re building something that reflects who we are: a club with history, a club that develops athletes and a club that believes water polo deserves world-class experiences at every level.
